Operation Let's Roll
Free Military, Veterans Mixed Submission Grappling Combative Tournament
The Arnold Sports Festival – Combatives, The Military Veterans Education Foundation (MILVETS) and the Abu Dhabi Combat Club (ADCC) has joined forces to show our appreciation for answering America’s call to duty by hosting the inaugural mixed submission grappling combative tournament.
Free spots are still available on a first-come-first serve basis for the following personnel: veterans, active duty, reserve, National Guard, ROTC, JROTC and Department of Defense (DoD Civilians). In addition, family members of the aforementioned personnel also qualify to compete free of charge too.
Athletes must be 18 years of age or older to compete in this exclusive tournament.
Athletes are required to sign a waiver on the day of the event.
The tournament will be run under ADCC rules. The ADCC competition is considered by many as the Olympics of Submission Grappling and referred to as the purest form of Mixed Martial Arts where strikes are prohibited and action takes place on the mat.
Athletes with experience in the following: Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (BJJ), Military Combatives, Sambo, Wrestling (Greco Roman/Freestyle and Catch-is-Catch-Can), Jiu Jitsu, Pankration and Judo meet the criterion to compete in the mixed tournament.
Possible match-ups during the competition could, but not limited to include:
• BJJ vs. Greco Roman/Freestyle Wrestling
• Military Combatives vs. BJJ
• Greco Roman Wrestling vs. Judo
• Sambo vs. Jiu Jitsu
